Tilly's Picnic Blanket Skirt - Finished!

So after the initial hate I had for this skirt and it's lack of volume, me and the TPBS are on good terms.

I've actually found this is probably the most casual skirt I have ever owned, let alone made! But after a little soul-searching, I've come to realise something: Casual is okay!

I like it, I really do, it's not quite as cute or as full as most of the TPBS' that are around, but it fits it's purpose in Operation: Cake, and it's the most liveable of all the clothes I've made.

Made from cotton sheeting [I'm cheap, shush.] with polycotton lining, a fused waistband and a calico interlining for the button stands. The buttons are 12mm polkadot buttons - and this was the first time I've ever actually done more than one buttonhole on a garment - I'm quite proud!

Button stand/buttons and gathering.. because gathering.

And already, this is a skirt I'm wearing more often than not! A win for the TPBS!
