So off of the back of my last post, I sat down with some red poplin and decided to make the red skirt my first mission in Operation: Cake;
Et Voila! |
In all it's gathered glory; this is the most simple skirt in the world.
The fabric looks a lot more tactile than it actually is. And another pocket-zip insert for you.
I like it. It's not going to win any awards, and it may be a little on the big side - but it's what I wanted to achieve. A plain skirt that can be worked into my wardrobe without a problem. I think this will be a staple in my wardrobe from now on - I just need to find more tops...
And for your amusement;
The photo outtakes. It got a little silly.
So what do you think? And how to you feel about "cake"? Sewing or not, what would be the staple items in your wardrobe that you could use as building blocks?
Do you think Schiaparelli would be proud of my Bordello-heel-hat?
And should I maybe go on a course that will help me stop the awkward posing?
